When Mark and Kristen James move into an old house in another town, it feels like the perfect opportunity to escape their recent tragedy and start afresh. But the new neighbors have their own secrets, and the neighborhood may be as haunted as the James’ own past. A classic ghost story in the tradition of M.R. James and Peter Straub. Grave Lullaby was a National Finalist for the 2013 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival David Cohen Playwriting Award.
Terry Tempest: The Final Interview
Aspiring journalist Olivia Blake has landed an interview with her childhood idol, Terry Tempest, lead singer of the punk band The Storm. It could be the making of her career, but she knows that the reclusive punk rocker is notorious for abusing interviewers, that is when he doesn’t just ditch the interview altogether. Olivia brings her friend and fellow Storm fanatic Stacy along for luck, and they are shown to Terry’s hotel room by The Storm’s manager Joey. Terry is none too happy to discover two “twelve-year-old fangirls” in his hotel room, and even more unhappy when Joey locks them in the room until he agrees to give an interview. The discovery of not one but two guns hidden in the room lead to the uncovering of secrets from all four characters; suicide, attempted murder, fandom, and grief intertwine in the bloodsoaked finale.
